Garden Flag
If you have an outdoor garden, or would just like to display this outside your patio, a garden flag is a simple craft that can be done easily with a piece of rectangular fabric. Make sure it is weatherproof if you’re going to display it out-of-doors.
To create an opening through which you can slide a holder/hanger, fold the top of your fabric down a couple of inches and glue or sew it in place. You may wish to slide a dowel through this space and then hang it on a wall with a string. With different embellishments, ribbons, fabric pens, etc., you can start decorating your flag.
Spring Centerpiece
Get that true spring feeling and brighten up your home with a centerpiece made from little plastic bunnies, chicks, Easter eggs, etc. Add some beads, ribbons, and silk flowers and you’ve got a gorgeous centerpiece for spring. If you wish, use it as an anchor piece with a glass cylinder/candle in the middle.
Though these work well on dining room tables, they also look great on a coffee table, bedside table, bathroom counter, and more.
Frame Your Favorite Picture
If you have a picture that’s your favorite or you want to frame a spring-themed picture for the time being, it can be done in an easy and fun way. Find an old wooden picture frame that you can repurpose or buy an inexpensive one. Think spring colors when choosing and using beads, ribbon, and silk flowers with which to decorate the frame.
Coordinating the picture itself with the theme of spring will help that refreshed and revitalized feeling of the season.
A Wreath for Spring
Who said that wreaths can only be used around Christmas? That couldn’t be further from the truth. To create a spring wreath, repurpose an old one or buy a new plain existing wreath. With spring colors, wrap ribbon throughout the wreath and add some beautiful silk flowers. To make it specific to Easter, grab some small toy rabbits, Easter eggs, chicks, etc.
This could be a wreath you use for every season or holiday if you want to remove and add decorations regularly.
