Such an amazing community. The care staff is amazing and take such good care of my parents. Everyone is attentive and actually listen to their needs. I can tell the managers at the the community actually care, unlike the last place they lived. I recommend Discovery village to everyone. If I could give it 10 stars I would.

About a year ago, I needed to relocate my uncle to be closer to family, and Gigi at Discovery Village at The Forum made the entire transition smooth and stress-free. She was always available to answer questions and took the time to go over every detail of the contract with my sister and me. We never felt rushed or pressured at any point.Even a year later, Gigi continues to be a great resource—always helpful, responsive, and genuinely caring. She’s truly an asset to Discovery Village, and I’m so grateful for all her support!

My wife has been a resident of the assisted living facility at the Forum for over a year now. Her experience has been enormously enhanced by Gigi's intervention and support. Gigi has a heart of gold and has helped my wife both via strong emotional support and also very practical hands-on help with work orders and so forth. Gigi puts in loads of extra hours in helping and supporting the residents. She is there for everybody, all of the time. She is dedicated to her job and extremely organized. Her door is never closed. Discovery Village could not ask for a better representative. The introduction from Gigi was a key element in our decision to pick Discovery Village in the first place as it has been for many others. Her care and compassion come over very clearly during the initial introduction to DV discussions over the phone and in person.0

My 89 yr old father took me to Discovery Villages assisted living back in February of 2023 for a guided tour with GiGi Salvia of Discovery staff. Upon touring the facility and talking with Gigi and my father. My father and I went to a restaurant and discussed moving him and my 88 yr old mother into Discovery Village together; afterwards we went back home and discussed it with my mother and the three of us decided that this would be a good move for them to make. I came two months later and moved them into a two bedroom apartment so that it was as much like their home as it could be. Upon moving in GiGi and the other staff and even the dining staff were as friendly and welcoming as they could be. The other residents were also very friendly and welcoming to them and to myself when I visited with them. The facility was always and I mean always very clean and it impressed me there were no uncomfortable smells at anytime that I was there. I remembered smells from homes that my grandparents had been in and promised myself that my parents would never be in that situation. I visited many many times and never seen or heard anything amiss at Discovery. My parents both lived there and I never heard anything amiss at complaints from them in the two and a half years they were there. My mother passed in January of this year and Discovery staff and residents rallied around my father and myself supporting us. Then six months later my 92 yr old father pasted away also; it wasn’t from loneliness it was his body just was worn out. Gigi was always fantastic at helping us when needed and she checked on them both regularly as she does with all residents. I had seen her leave evenings at 8:00 p.m. after checking on different residents after a long day in the office. Believe me when I say shes a saint. Very kind and loving spirit. I was a manager for 25 years in an engineering company and had 30 or more employees; I would have loved to have employees like her that cared about what their function was. But the bottom line is my father and I would highly recommend Discovery Village facilities; I had been in the other facilities there and they are run the same way; but they don’t have a Gigi.

To know Gigi is to 💕LOVE 💗Gigi! Discovery Village’s Shining Star!🌟 She is the most caring and compassionate professional. Even Pop ☘️likes her and he is one tough cookie….Its almost impossible to be on his GOOD List!

When looking for assisted living for a family member, Discovery Village at the Forum was near by to ensure we can visit our loved one. Discovery Village at the forum is clean, well maintained and the staff are extremely friendly. The absolute difference maker for this place, and what ultimately tipped the scales in favor for our loved one was Gigi. There are multitudes of options for assisted living in and around town. None of them have the heart for residents like Gigi. Gigi is relentless in her fervent passion for the residents, and their family members. To be exceedingly clear on this subject, my family member would not be at Discovery Village at the Forum without Gigi. She is a shining example of customer-oriented service and, in my opinion, should be elevated as stellar representative of the Discovery Village brand. There are many places that check similar boxes, but most of them do not have someone with a heart of gold like Gigi. If you are in the market for a facility, please do yourself and your loved one a favor: make an appointment with Gigi and take a tour of Discovery Village at the Forum with Gigi. You'll absolutely be glad you did. We are! Thank you Gigi and the Discovery Village brand for employing such a superstar!

My father is 100 yrs old and he has been here since March 2025 after he had a fall and broke his back. This is the second time he has been here. First time Dad and I both came here for three months after hurricane Ian. It was a wonderful port in the storm. We were well cared for and everyone was hospitable, kind and met our every need.Now, Dad gets wonderful attention and care. The staff, cnas, servers, medicine techs and activities directors all know him.On Forth of July they planned a hugh outdoor barbeque. As climate had it, it poured rain, thunder and lightening. All the event was brought inside. They configured the room for all the tables. They scooted the live music over in the corner to allow this extra room for tables. They went table to table to get a count of hamburgers and hot dogs. The kitchen with all the servers came out witj plates prepared for everyone. If you wanted more or another side dish it was brought. We had a fabulous time. The decorations, the music and the time together was so memorable.The activities her are thoughtful and can usually accomodate everyone.If you are thinking about a place for your loved one or even for your self, I personally reccomend Discovery Village AF.Cheryl Mayberry

I am writing to commend you on one of your staff named Geraldine Salvia. Gi Gi's position is that of a senior sales director but at times she is nurse, cna and mental health specialist.My brother Lloyd Knight has been a resident at Discovery village, the forum Ft. Myers Fl. for 16 months now. He has vascular dementia, tardive dyskinesia and cannot talk due to a stroke. Gi Gi has developed such a close relationship with Lloyd that it is unbelievable since he is a loner. Can you imagine how comforting it is for me knowing there is someone else that he responds to since I can't be there every day. I am truly thankful and amazed at what this women has done. Gi Gi's care and nurturing extends beyond her friendship with Lloyd as great many other residents will tell you. She is loved by many,Thank you for your lovely staff member.Bill & Mary Jean Taylor

I speak from personal experience having been a short term resident. The assisted living (part of discovery forum ) is excellent- lovely facility reasonably decent food, and care staff are top notch.Of special note/ as far as admin, my sense is they see the Village as business. The exception is GIGI (Director of Admissions). She is a rare gem! Gigi connects w residents on individual level, cares deeply about each one, and is a can do person. If you bring a legitimate issue to Gigi- she resolves it asapGigi is grounded in the understanding that the Village is residents HOME, and her her love for each resident. She is one of the most CARING people I’ve had the privilege of knowing. The real HEART of the Assisted Living part of the Village

During such a chaotic time Gigi and I planned the residents move carefully, coordinated the details , and provided reassurance to the resident and family during the transition. Five stars for Gigi Salvia! We moved my in-Laws into assisted living a year and a half ago. We met with Gigi to tour Discovery Village, she was very welcoming explained how everything worked. When we had to move my Mom to memory care she made sure the transition was smooth. She goes above and beyond to assist anyway she can. She truly cares about the residents. If we have questions or concerns, if she is not able to answer them she either gets us the answers or directs us to who we need to speak with. She has been our rock throughout this whole experience. Five stars for Gigi Salvia!! About a year ago we needed a place for our 90 year old mother. Gigi was highly recommended and we were not disappointed. She is truly terrific! She really went to bat for us and helped us get our mother into a great apartment in the assisted living area. I found a good friend in Gigi. She is very hard working but also very caring and compassionate. Thank you Gigi, for everything you've done for us and for everyone you meet.

My husband found Discovery Village in an online search. My mom is 92 and in good health other than some memory loss, and lived with us in our tiny house for 6 months. We were apprehensive about mom moving to her own space, but Gigi was so welcoming, accommodating, and so easy to work with. My mom has been there in assisted living for two months now, and is thriving! I can't give enough kudos to the staff for always going above and beyond for their residents. It's clean, bright, has regular activities, and outings, not to mention the delicious meals. Mom loves walking, so she walks outside each day, enjoying the beautiful grounds. Just 10 mins. from us, I highly recommend Discovery Village at the Forum!

I stopped in randomly on a Saturday to see if someone could assist or point me to a resource who could assist a guest from out of town staying at a hotel my husband works at. I was greeted warmly at the door and Geraldine (Gigi) the senior life counselor quickly tracked down someone who who was possibly able to help. She really went out of her way for someone not a resident or potential one. The place was also clean and bright and the residents were out being social. Definitely a place to consider.

We placed my aunt here a few weeks ago and let me tell you, WHAT A RELIEF that was for her and my family. From the moment we walked in the door to do a tour to the last day I was there visiting, I was treated like family. Staff is wonderful and so caring. You can tell residents come first. Before moving in, my aunt was struggling. On her first day she saw Dr. Butler and was given the right treatment and Immediately was thriving. I’m so thankful for GiGi and all that she did for us, and continues to do now that we’re all back home 8-20 hours away. All the med techs and assistants that help my aunt with her day to day needs. I’m so grateful we discovered the Forum.

I visit monthly at this facility (for several years) and have always been well-treated by professional, friendly and cooperative staff. The residents seem to be quite satisfied to live there and participate with lots of fun activities!

From a therapist standpoint, this is an amazing atmosphere for your loved ones to feel “at home” and safe in their daily lives! Every member of the staff is extremely welcoming and ensure each resident is cared for and heard. Great job Discovery Village!!!

It is 4 months since I came to Discovery Village. Have to admit, I was apprehensive about coming but now realize it was the best move I could have made. The people are so friendly, the staff is so helpful. No matter what I ask them, they always try to help me..I can’t praise them enough. So glad I am here.

Our 90 year old mom moved to Discovery Village ALF after being at another ALF in Ft Myers. The family and my mom are thrilled with how caring and gentle the nurses and CNA staff are at Discovery.GG, from Resident Placement Services, is AMAZING: She goes above and beyond to make sure residents are perfectly set-up with everything they need and want. The building is impeccably maintained and we are proud to invite family and friends to visit. This is a FIVE Star ALF in our opinion. The family loves it for our Mom/gramma & highly recommend Discovery Village for your lived one!

I have been coming here for over 2 years to help a client. One thing that I can say is that the staff is dedicated 100% whether it be general questions to house keeping. The activities director is absolutely wonderful!! I cannot say enough about the cleanliness and the food, I just hope that I can be so fortunate to live here in my not so distant future.

I love Discovery Village! The staff and residents all look out for each other and the building is maintained beautiful. The Chef cooks amazing food and there are so many fun activities. I love that there is a cinema in here and it plays movies every night!

My wife and I have lived here for almost three years and enjoyed every day that we have been here. The community is happy and active with diversified activities and entertainment. The amenities are unsurpassed with all of daily life requirements catered to by a cheerful and respectful staff. The dining experience is diversified and delicious with many selection options. We are experienced retirement industry administrators, we knew the type of community we were looking for when we found Discovery Village and have been happy since. This is truly a five star !!!!

My Dad lived at Discovery Village the last 8 months of his life and he got really good care. He lived on the Assisted Living side of the property and even though it took him time to adjust to living there, he came to love the residents and staff. Assisted living was Dad's idea, but Discovery Village was where I wanted him to tour first. It met my criteria of proximity to my home, cleanliness, caring staff & the inclusion of a memory unit. My Dad never used the latter, but he had already been diagnosed with dementia so we were planning ahead and didn't want to move him twice. Right now the Memory Unit is in the process of being remodeled even though the facility is not that old. I think this shows the company's commitment to keep things up to date, looking nice and meeting the needs of it's residents.No Assisted Living facility is perfect, but the staff at DV is a caring group of people that truly want to work with the families of their residents. Any issue we had, we were always able to work through it with them to get an issue resolved. My Dad had a lot of health complications in his last few months and he was not a simple resident to care for, but the availability and responsiveness of the nursing staff, ops staff and executive staff was impressive and meant a lot to my family. I always had the option of texting the Exec Director or the Assistant Exec Director if I needed to. That kind of accessibility is priceless even though I rarely had to use it.Discovery Village was a good choice for us and if I had to do it over again, I'd make the same decision.
