I am Very Happy at Discovery Village. The Most Important thing about this place is i feel safe and cared for. The Staff are very kind and helpful. The Staff is very understanding and easy to talk to. I really enjoy all the outings I participate in. The Grounds are very nice to walk around.

I am a Hospice nurse and see several residents at the facility. I need to collaborate with the nursing staff and this has always been easy. The DON Rhonda Lyke is amazing! Rhonda always takes the time to discuss the residents and provide updates needed. I am truly appreciative of Rhonda and her staff, it is a privilege to provide services at Discovery. Keep up the great work Rhonda!

My mother has been a resident at Discovery Village at Tampa Palms for nearly 8 years and my father was there nearly 4 years before passing away. It has been a wonderful experience. This place is wonderful. The building is clean, kept fresh and very nice. But the real positive is the staff. What a bunch of caring and loving people who genuinely care deeply for the residents! Everyone is always smiling and friendly, and treat their residents (and guests) with great care and affection. The quality of wellness care is exceptional. The level of communication from the staff is incredible. The residents have so many activities to take advantage of, and new activities are introduced consistently. The food is tasty and well planned, and residents have many options to choose from. Our family is thrilled that our mother is in such a fine facility, and appreciate the great care my father received while he was in the memory care unit. Angeline and her staff are outstanding - and then some! You can't go wrong considering this as your or your family members' next home. You'll be very satisfied, and will be assured your family is receiving great care.

My parents, 99 and 94 are residents at Discovery Village. For peace of mind it was time to move them into their 1 BR apt. It even has a kitchen where they can make their favorite dish if they want to have some home cooking. Mom fell and she pressed her life alert and immediately 3-4 staff members came to mom’s side to help her. Fortunately she was ok. The facility offers. Three hot meals a day and the staff is friendly and smiles. We chose DV based on the activities offered and the brightness in the center. It has a hotel type of feel in the lobby with the piano for entertainment and there is a theater and library. I would definitely recommend checking Discovery Village when seeking options for your loved ones. We looked at 3-4 and are very happy with our decision as are my parents.

I had a loved one that reside at Discovery Village and I got to see firsthand the love and great care she was provided with day in and day out. My parents moved into Discovery Village at Tampa Palms in August 2024. The entire team is very professional, caring and responsive. They are very well cared for. A special shout-out to Rhonda Lyke who has been incredibly helpful in getting my parents medical care and medications centralized and organized. Her knowledge, patience and sincere caring are greatly appreciated. Thanks to Rhonda and the entire team.

I want to recognize the amazing staff at Discovery village for the ongoing efforts to make the atmosphere for the residents feel like home. While visiting my aunt , walking with Rhonda Lyke I saw her amazing interaction with residents and other family members. Rhonda would speak to each resident and knew them personally while joking and bringing joy to each person she passed. Rhonda made certain all needs were met immediately and took time to have a heartfelt conversation when needed. I am so happy my aunt is in such good hands at Discovery Village. I also feel at home while visiting. I always see the value Rhonda adds to each individuals daily life. Thank you Rhonda and your staff for all you do. You are appreciated !

My uncle has lived at Discovery Village for just over a year, and we have been very happy. The staff is attentive, and very kind. Everyone knows his name, and the entire team looks out for their residents. Because of various medical needs, I've met with Rhonda there to discuss his care, and she has always been welcoming to discussions, thoughtful and diligent. She has gone above and beyond to make sure he's cared for.

One year ago today we moved our 93 year old Mother out of her home where she had lived for 67 years. It was a difficult decision that she alone had to make. As her daughter and son in law, we had to choose an Independent Living facility where she would have the best life possible in this final chapter of her life. We chose Discovery Village at Tampa Palms and what a wonderful choice that turned out to be.From our very first encounter, when we met Dominique Sprenkle, who made the tour and endless paperwork clear and seamless, her enthusiasm for the facility made us excited to move our Mom to this community.We will forever be grateful to Angeline Hernandez, the Executive Director, who always worked professionally and with unwavering kindness to solve any and all challenges that came our way. Rhonda Lyke, the Director of Health and Wellness facilitated the transfer of our Mom from the hospital to Memory Care, when she could no longer manage Independent Living. We truly don’t know what we would have done without her support and guidance at this very difficult stage. After this, Vivi Otero, the Director of Memory Care, stepped in and her passion to care for our Mom gave us great comfort that she was loved and cared for. There are so many people who we would like to thank for caring for and loving our Mom. A heartfelt thank you to all the Executive staff and to Sheila, Troy, Patricia, Jessica, Ruby, Susie, Evelyn, Duderot, the Rehab Staff and truly everyone who works there. My Mom just moved into Discovery Village. The staff went out of their way to make sure she was comfortable with her transition. Rhonda, one of the nurses even helped me set up her landline phone! :)Staff is always at the desk to help when I arrive for a visit too 🙂

My mom has been living at Discovery Village At Tampa Palms for 4 years. They are a top notch assisted living facility with an amazing staff and caregivers. They are professional and put residents first. They have many extra curricular activities for those that want to participate. This facility becomes an extension of your family. They provide peace of mind. I highly recommend Discovery Village At Tampa Palms!

We moved my mom into Discovery Village approx 5 months ago. We immediately felt at home and the staff was great! Especially Nurse Rhonda, she cares for the residents as if they're her family. It's always a hard decision to make to move your loved ones out of their homes but I can say that we made the right choice with Discovery Village New Tampa.

I just want to say how terrific the staff is at Discovery Village. My mom has been in the Memory Care section of this community for six years and has enjoyed every moment of it. As her advocate, I see how caring the staff is toward their residents, the cleanliness, the activities, the empathy, the compassion and knowledge that these employees pass on to the residents. If you are looking for a community for your loved one, please give Discovery Village a look, it will be well worth you time, trust me, I see it every week……..

My mother recently passed away peacefully at 93. She had been in the Memory Care unit since January '23, previously was in the assisted living from August of '22. As anyone does, I felt a great responsibility in making the decision to move her from her independent living home to Discovery Village in August 2022. My fears were misplaced!In every respect, Discovery Village outperformed any expectations I might have had. I was routinely struck by the compassion and sincerity of the care from all levels of staff. They went out of their way to provide her with care, and were always accessible and responsive to my inquiries. Both Nursing Directors, and the Memory Care Director were outstanding in their efforts to connect me with developments in my mother's condition. When she moved to the Memory Care unit, I cannot count the number of times the Memory Care Director texted me pictures of my mother engaged in some activity. When I visited, I was always struck by the little things that gave indication of the care and attention to detail; how her hair was always neatly groomed, nails done, neatly dressed. I was always impressed at the number of times staff would just drop in to say hello, or give her a hug, or take time out to tell me how much they cared for her. My lasting impression will be how she was treated in her last days, how I found her in bed neatly tucked in, always with one of her beloved stuffed animals in her arms, and a peaceful smile on her face. I will be forever grateful to Angeline, Virginia, Viv and the entire staff of Discovery Village for the peace they granted my mother-and myself.

Discovery Village is an amazing place! My father has resided there for four months, and we have been overwhelmed by the kindness and love that is extended to residents as well as family members. From day one, we were warmly welcomed by Angeline and her very talented and compassionate staff. They helped my father make a smooth transition to his new community and ensured that his needs were being met. Time is taken to answer any questions we may have, and I have found the staff to always be knowledgeable and patient, which is greatly appreciated.We have been impressed with the variety of activities that are offered to the residents as well as special events such as the Grandparent's Day celebration last weekend. It was so lovely and such care was taken to provide a very meaningful experience for the residents and families. The food and entertainment were incredible, and our family loved the photo booth with colorful props-such a great memory for us! Most of all, I appreciate how the staff is genuinely kind and caring with all of the residents. They display this on a daily basis and work very hard to make each day a positive experience for all!

Angeline is a marvelous executive director. She is fully involved visible and approachable. Discovery Village shines because of it. Vivi, the memory care director, is passionate about the care her residents receive. The staff she hires are amazing. The unit is kept so clean and the garden area is beautiful and tranquil. My mom was in the memory care unit for over a year. She received wonderful, personalized care. I always felt welcomed. It will forever mean so much to me.

Linda is a resident of Discovery Village at Tampa PaIms. She is now in memory care. I am very pleased with the staff and how they treat their guests. They are extremely helpful and patient. When I go to visit they greet me by name with a smile. I feel she is receiving the best possible care.
