Discovery Village At Dominion is such a welcoming & friendly environment! The front staff is always friendly and professional. As a Home Care Provider Services Agency we have had several mutual clients who have all been very pleased with this community. Roxanna is always available to assist with any questions & is a great resource for various care need questions. Since the moment you get there you have a feeling that you’re at Home. The staff is very welcoming and kind special Mattie she’s very loving caring person She makes you feel with her care, kindness and her beautiful smile very welcoming and that everything is find. After visiting Discovery Village several times, I’m impressed with this facility. The residents seem very happy and well-cared for, and staff members are all extremely kind. As you walk around the grounds and inside the buildings, everything looks clean and beautiful. The people in charge must work very hard to keep things running so well. Five stars!

This facility is one of the best ALF in San Antonio. The staff is very professional. Kudos to the Activity Director Mattie for always having a positive attitude and she brings the energy and the love for what she does!!!

Discovery Village has a great vibe when it comes to the care of the residents. The Veteran’s Celebration was fun and engaging. The team also does a good job in communicating and how to best care for everyone who lives there.

As the owner of Linen&South I have done two booth markets this Fall at Discovery Village. In communication prior to, during, and post with Maddie, the Director at Assisted Living I was impressed with her response time and overall refreshing personality. I was greeted with a warm smile and lovely sincerity in all manner on the days of the events. I took notice of how much joy she expressed in assisting the residents. She is highly attentive to any needs seen and unforseen. I felt very welcomed and comfortable in working my booth under her direction. Discovery Village is blessed to have her.

Discovery Village is a vibrant and welcoming community! The social calendar, led by the incredible Activities Director, Mattie, is packed with engaging and fun events that keep residents active and connected. The care team, both in wellness and memory care, is outstanding—compassionate, attentive, and deeply dedicated to each resident. The directors are phenomenal, creating an environment where residents are genuinely happy and well cared for. A truly wonderful place for seniors to call home!

I have been working with Select Rehabilitation for 3.5 years in assisted living, memory care, and independent living at Discovery Village Dominion and can honestly say this has been a great facility to be contracted with. I can leave work knowing that I am making a difference in a positive and clean environment, surrounded by staff and residents that make our days enjoyable!

I cannot say enough positive things about our initial experience with Discovery Village! Our first visit we were met by the MOST compassionate, caring person, Kathy, who took the extra time to calm nerves and talk about this new transition for my family member. We have just received the keys and are continued to be blessed by Kathy's wonderful customer care -- they have our money, so they could have dropped the "show". She personally answers question via text and is very quick to providing any information we need as we prepare to move in next week! The community is also so kind and friendly! From residents to employees we are greeted regularly with smiles and friendly conversation. I am so happy we found Discovery Village.

I work in the area . It is from my.observations about Discovery Village close by to the Dominion. I have had alot of interactions with the staff , they must love the work they're doing.I spoke with a lady amanda like a month ago about my aunt . she was helpful and talked to me for must have been a good half hour at HEB explained alzheiners in a way my nephew easily understood. She also gave me the number to a sales associate.

I am the daughter of my two parents who are current residents of Discovery Village AL as well as I’m a Registered nurse( who is very picky), I want express my sincere appreciation and gratitude for all l the wonderful care my parents are provided here from Mark the executive Director to the awesome nursing staff, Activity coordinators, housekeeping, dining staff, concierge, and the Maintenance team who are all top notch and all genuinely care and go above and beyond for the residents and their families. The facility itself is absolutely gorgeous, well appointed, always decorated for the holidays, sparkling clean, and is in a desirable area of San Antonio. Each and every day I visit I’m greeted by the friendly staff and the residents all seem so happy and healthy and engaged! The food here is plentiful and delicious! This facility has a very robust activity schedule thanks to the wonderful Mattie and Rachel who always plan such fun and fantastic events such as bingo, happy hours, movies, flower arranging etc which all the residents enjoy! They also have many fun outings the residents can sign up for such as meals at local restaurants, shopping trips to HEB, Walmart, retail stores, and thrift stores! Your loved ones will never be bored or lonely here as there truly is so much for them to do!My parents have only been here for 6 months but I can see a huge difference in them! They are now always happy, eating healthy meals, enjoying the numerous group activities, staying in shape with the group exercise classes, and are making l many new friends with people their ages! What a wonderful life!! They are in absolute heaven…. and as a daughter that makes my heart very happy!I’m so glad my parents and I chose Discovery Village to live their final years! My mother moved into Discovery Village in June. It has been a wonderful experience. Kathy and Sarah were amazingly knowledgeable and patient as we made the transition of finalizing her move. The concierges (Noah, Allie, and Alex) are so kind and helpful. The residents are so friendly and eager to aid in my mother's transition. I highly recommend Discovery Village!

I’ve been working with this community for the last several years and have seen A several familiar faces and a few new ones. I’d like to start by saying every time I visit this community, I’m always greeted with a friendly smile and a willingness to help. The leadership and clinical team has been outstanding.Nicole, Mark, Michelle, Julia, Hanna, and Mattie are always so helpful and always there to assist Residents, vendors, and staff with all of their needs. I can’t express enough how grateful I am for the care and compassion Discovery Village AL has shown to our patients, their residents.My company and I love how their staff is responsive to the needs of our residents and communicates effectively.Their Director, Nicole, is knowledgeable, caring and is always up to date on resident needs, which is why Suncrest Hospice values our partnership. I’m with All Seasons Hospice, Teresa was with a Patient of ours. She was awesome very caring and very gentle! Also the receptionists are the best as well!

I am the son of my 93 year old mother and 94 year old father who were in Discovery Village at the Dominion Independent Livings 2 years and now 1 1/2 at the Assisted Living.Assisted living excels over the Independent Living any day in my opinion.This stage of life is an on going process and Mark the executive director (check his great socks too), the various Wellness Directors, the med techs and staff are exemplary at their work.On a first name basis, the care, time and professionalism is great.A big shout out to Jennifer and Devin in the Assisted Living Dining room, the chief who know what you like before you even ask it, on time, friendly and like a family member! Also to Mattie with her personal care to mom.Very punctual in using the emergency call penchant, from those that empty the trash to the same that after 6 calls on the penchant to help move mom from place to place, fantastic and never ever made us feel we were pushing the limits.Graceful, kind and the best.We will be sad to leave but moving mom and dad up to DFW to another Discovery Village in South Lake to keep on the process of aging near us.Thank you Discovery Village at the Dominion in San Antonio.

This has to be the best Assisted Living facility in Central Texas. Mom was only here for about 5 months, but what a Staff!! I met so many CNA's, med-tech's, LVN's, etc, etc. And every one of them was completely professional and friendly. Mom came over from Villa de San Antonio (type "A" with no nurses on staff), which was excellent. But Discovery Village (type "B" with nurses) is even better. I'd like to pick out just a few rock stars I met there. Jennifer and Theresa really loved my Mom and took great care of her. Mark and Nicole ran the show, but they were also personally involved in my Mom's care. Jessica up front was delightful. Victor (the "King") made my Mom smile every time. If I could make one suggestion: Please don't change a thing 🙂

I'd like to add an update to my review. In my travels, I visit many assisted living locations for my work. Discovery Villages is by far one of the nicest that I have ever visited. Mark the director always has time for the residents. The staff is friendly and caring. The residents are welcoming...and its just a nice place to live.It’s always a pleasure to help them take care of their residents. What a beautiful place. I always enjoy my visits and enjoy meeting the residents.

My favorite part about Discovery Village is the absolutely amazing residents. I have the pleasure of working on both the assisted living and the memory care side and both are phenomenal. I'm going to school to be a nurse so this is great preparation for me. Nothing is more rewarding than one of the residents saying they appreciate what you do for them, and they are never too shy to let us know!
