Retirees who are considering assisted living in Wesley Chapel, FL might wonder what a typical day is like. Though no two days are exactly the same, below is a general look at what you can expect after becoming a resident.
Breakfast (8:00 AM)
We believe that breakfast is the most essential meal of the day. Living in our community is akin to having your own private apartment, which is complete with a kitchen and bathroom. This means that for breakfast you’ll have the option of preparing your own meal at home or you can walk over to our dining room where it will be cooked and served on your behalf.
Physical Fitness (9:30 AM)
Once your hunger has been satiated by a delicious breakfast, the next step is to focus on your physical fitness. Our exercise programs include activities such as Tai Chi, Yoga and more. You’ll get the opportunity to experiment with each to see which one you like best while getting to know the other residents.
Social Functions (10:30 AM)
Both isolation and depression have become a common issue among aging Americans, and studies show it is associated with increased health risks. It is for this reason that our community offers social functions where members get the opportunity to mingle with the other residents. Activities that you’ll partake in during these events include painting, book clubs, and trivia with card games. If you want, you can also meditate or get your hair done.
Lunch (12:00 PM)
All of our residents anticipate lunch, since each meal is prepared with the freshest ingredients by a professional chef. Just a small sample of the dishes we serve include pasta, steak fries, vegetable burgers, BBQ ribs, Philly steaks with cheese, tomato and cob corn. Be advised that our community does not serve typical processed or frozen cafeteria food and seasonal dishes are also available.
Shopping (1:45 PM)
While our community provides just about everything residents need on-site, we still feel that they should have the opportunity to leave and explore the surrounding stores and shops. It gives them an opportunity to break away from usual environment, and aside from shopping in retail outlets these sojourns also include trips to the movies, bowling, museums, concerts and more. Leaving the community grounds is not mandatory and residents who choose to stay and take a nap are welcomed to do so.
Happy Hour (4:00 PM)
This hour is reserved for socializing and is designed to get you warmed up for supper. It includes things such as guest speakers, sing along, special performances, workshops and more.
Supper (5:30 PM)
You can enjoy supper with whoever you want, and the food can be delivered to your apartment or you can eat in the dining area. Either way, the food we serve is magnificent. As the final meal of the day, options range from vegetables to crab cakes, sandwiches, fresh fruit and desert such as strawberry shortcake.
Movie Evening (7:00 PM)
Once you’ve enjoyed a nice dinner, you can now settle down with the other residents in our private theatre to watch a movie, or you can visit our community rooms to play games.
Personal and Bedtime (8:00PM)
At this point, the majority of residents will be getting ready for bed. It is also the time for grooming, personal care, or doing a little reading to help you fall asleep.
