Angeline comes to Discovery with over 15 years of experience in senior living. She has worked in various capacities ranging from direct support to administration. Angeline is originally from Puerto Rico and lived in Massachusetts for 15 years before relocating to Florida. Angeline holds a Master’s in Healthcare Administration from Saint Joseph’s College of Maine. In her spare time, Angeline enjoys going to the beach, traveling, cooking, and spending time with her husband Uriel and her cat Lulu.

Rhonda Lyke

Director of Health and Wellness

As the Director of Health and Wellness, Rhonda is responsible for providing overall leadership and management of the health and well-being of residents within our community.  Rhonda was born in Indiana and grew up in a small farm where they had horses, chickens and cows. Rhonda discovered her passion for serving older adults in 2006 when she worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for a Skilled Nursing and Rehab facility. She became a nurse in 2012 and has had a variety of roles in direct patient care as well as nursing administration. Rhonda has been married for 32 years and is a proud mother of two boys.

Jordan Mannain

Director of Celebrations

Jordan is responsible for developing and overseeing the daily activities in our Supervised Independent Living and Assisted Living. Jordan is originally from Sarasota and recently relocated to the Tampa area. She attended Pensacola Christian College where she received her degree in Early Childhood Education. Jordan spent several years teaching elementary and high school algebra/geometry. During this time, Jordan became an expert at combining creative and learning pursuits, bringing comprehension, laughter, some zany constructions, and a sense of proud accomplishment to her students.

Jordan began her journey to serve older adults three years ago by working in the activities department. She found her skills to have transferred beautifully to the senior living industry and has successfully guided many residents through crafts, trivia contests, historical presentations, and daily physical workouts. Jordan strives to promote a fun, happy and enriching environment for those that we serve.

Executive Chef

Chef Fred is responsible for the overall operation of the Culinary Services Department. He is very passionate about food and joins us with over fifteen years of experience in the culinary field! He has held various roles as a Sous Chef and Executive Chef in hotels, restaurants and senior living settings. Chef Fred is originally from the Caribbean Island of Dominica and moved to the United States when he was 15. Outside of work, Chef Fred enjoys cooking, playing soccer, watching sports and spending time with his family.

Dominique comes to Discovery Village At Tampa Palms after working at our sister community for four years. After moving to Florida from her small hometown in Pennsylvania, she quickly found her passion for serving seniors and being a resource to those navigating senior living options for themselves or their loved one. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with her cat, Jaxon.

Director of SHINE® Memory Care

ViVi has been working in the senior living industry for over 10 years. Originally from Puerto Rico, She moved to the Tampa Bay area 12 years ago. Vivi’s passion to work with seniors came easy because her goal in life is to always help people and put a smile on their faces. When not at work, she enjoys spending time with her two children, cooking, and having a handful with three dogs. ViVi aspires to own her own caregiving company to continue her passion for working with seniors.

Director of Maintenance

Prior to joining Discovery Senior Living, Rafael worked as a Regional Supervisor for Volunteers of America where he oversaw the maintenance operations of 13 properties. Rafael holds an electrical engineer degree from Central University Jose Antonio Echevarria in Cuba and is also a certified plumber and HVAC. Rafael is married and has six children and three grandchildren. In his spare time, Rafael enjoys playing golf, fishing, watching the sunset, and listening to classical music.

Senior Lifestyle Coordinator

As the Senior Lifestyle Coordinator, Shilynn performs comprehensive administrative support services for the Sales & Marketing team. Shilynn is new to the senior living industry and has grown to appreciate and love it. She relocated to Florida when she was 11 and has lived in Tampa since. She holds a Marketing Degree from the University of South Florida. Outside of work she enjoys cooking and spending time with her sister and her cat Basil.
